The electrification of motoring brings with it many challenges, especially for the users of these vehicles themselves. The way of operating a car is changing, and unfortunately – as tends to happen in transitional periods – many things require refinement and adjustment, particularly when it comes to creating infrastructure that enables the convenient charging of electric cars. Great difficulty in this respect is encountered by residents of multi-family buildings not provided with a publicly accessible vehicle-charging station. At Izera Park, however, there will be such a station. Why do we consider this something essential in a modern apartment building?
Electric-car charging infrastructure in Poland
It is true that the number of electric-car charging stations in Poland is growing, but their number still does not match the number of traditional fuel stations. According to data gathered by the Polish Alternative Fuels Association (PSPA) and the Polish Automotive Industry Association (PZPM), in September 2023 there were a total of 3,068 public electric-vehicle charging stations in the country, with 6,159 points, of which 1,008 were fast-charging stations (DC) and 2,060 slower-charging stations (AC). It is worth comparing this with the number of registered electric vehicles in the country, which at the time the report was produced numbered 50,386.
Of course, the availability of charging stations is one thing, but it must be borne in mind that charging an electric car takes somewhat longer – and sometimes much longer – than traditional refuelling. At AC stations it can take several hours; at DC stations the whole battery can be filled in 30 minutes, so even the best option still takes a while.
For this reason, the possibility of charging EV vehicles at one's place of residence – or, in the case of holiday apartments, of accommodation – is extremely important from the point of view of comfortable use. And while in the case of single-family houses the whole process of replenishing energy in an electric car is rather simple, when it comes to residential complexes not equipped with publicly accessible electric-car charging stations, filling the battery of your electric car can be a challenge. Why?
Charging electric vehicles in residential complexes – what is worth knowing?
Charging an electric car in a single-family house can be done in two basic ways. The first is replenishing the energy in the battery directly from a socket. With a completely discharged battery, however, this can take a dozen or even several dozen hours. The second solution is installing a private charging station in the form of a single-point wall-mounted station or a free-standing charging station.
In a situation where the residents of a residential complex do not have a publicly accessible electric-car charging station at their disposal, charging a car becomes a problem, because most often replenishing the energy in a car involves numerous obstacles, both in terms of access to the appropriate infrastructure and the formalities connected with obtaining such access. For example, if we want to install a private electric-car charging station, we have to obtain the consent of the building's manager, and in the case of a station above 11 kW also of the residents' association.
It is also necessary to carry out an expert assessment beforehand, which will establish whether such a station can be installed in a given place. The costs of all the formalities, as well as the station itself and its installation, must of course be covered out of one's own pocket. And the local infrastructure does not always make it possible to connect an EV charging station. For example, a change to the connection conditions by the energy distributor may be needed. And that means further complications, formalities and costs.
CHOOSE YOUR DREAM INVESTMENT APARTMENT
An electric-car charging station in the apartment building – Izera Park says yes!
The problems connected with the use of electric cars by residents of residential complexes not provided with electric-car charging stations may discourage people from choosing electromobile transport solutions. This shows how important social awareness is, and how important it is to support the electrification initiative at the level of shaping residential space.
Residents of Izera Park, however, can be completely at ease on this matter, because on the grounds of the apartment complex in Świeradów-Zdrój there will be a modern electric-car charging station, which will allow electric cars to be used conveniently and trouble-free – both by permanent residents and by apartment guests enjoying the charms and attractions of the Izera Mountains.
Convenient charging of electric cars in your mountain apartment! The electric-car charging station at Izera Park is a guarantee of full freedom of travel by electric car. Both the residents of the complex and the guests of the holiday apartments will be able to charge their electric vehicles conveniently, so that they are always ready for the road. This is an extremely important aspect that will certainly find favour among people looking for modern holiday apartments in the mountains.
It also makes the whole Izera Park development much more attractive, offering solutions that allow the apartment residents to make full use of innovative transport technologies. Thanks to this, Izera Park is a place that perfectly combines the beauty of nature with modern infrastructure, providing the best of both worlds.
