June on the Izera Park Construction Site – Façade, Installations and a Mountain View

We are pleased to share another update from the construction site in Świeradów-Zdrój. June brings to the Izera Park site a stage that changes how the whole development is perceived — on the buildings, the supporting structure for the future Yakisugi façade is rising, while inside the apartments intensive installation works are under way.

You can watch a film of the current progress below:

The Yakisugi façade: Japanese charred wood coming soon

On the buildings, the structure for the future façade of board charred using the Japanese Yakisugi (Shou Sugi Ban) method is being installed. It is a timber and steel frame which, over the coming months, will be clad in the characteristic dark board – the material that determined the character of the whole development. The deep colour of the charred wood, its natural texture and its resistance to the elements: against the backdrop of the Izera forest, this façade will blend into its surroundings.

Roof and form: two buildings in full shape

On the site, both Izera Park buildings can clearly be seen at full scale. The smaller building already has a complete roof truss with traditional roof tiles, echoing the spa architecture of the region. The larger building – with its reinforced-concrete structure and large glazing on the ground floor – is surrounded by scaffolding, being prepared for the next stages of the external cladding.

Between the buildings you can see the space where, ultimately, a natural stream will flow – one of the distinguishing features of Izera Park and a living element of the shared outdoor areas.

Inside the apartments: installations, partition walls, fittings

Inside, intensive installation works are under way. On the floors, the plumbing routes are being laid – the blue, red and black colours of the pipes denote, respectively, the cold-water, hot-water and underfloor-heating installations. On the walls and ceilings there are bundles of electrical cables, junction boxes and TV/SAT/IT wiring. This is a stage that is completely invisible in a finished apartment, yet it determines its comfort for decades to come.

Also visible are the finished partition walls of aerated concrete and plasterboard, and the first openings for the electrical fittings.

Windows and patio doors: the mountain view already here

More windows and patio doors are being fitted in dark aluminium profiles. From the open balconies and terraces you can see exactly what will be visible from the finished apartment: the spruce forest, the range of the Izera Mountains, a piece of mountain sky. It is one of those moments on a construction site that says more than any description.

Izera Park: Świeradów-Zdrój, the Izera Mountains

70 apartments in 2 intimate buildings, Świeradów-Zdrój, the Izera Mountains, over 250 years of spa tradition, a radon microclimate.

  • a gondola lift 400 m from the building.
